Dear parents and carers,
As promise I write to keep you informed about the leadership of the academy. We now have a stable situation until the end of the summer term. This means that three headteachers are supporting the school until the end of summer term each working for one day each. On the other two days Mrs Kilcoyne is leading the school supported by two other senior leaders. The three headteachers are:
Chris Moodie; The CEO of the Multi Academy Trust and a headteacher.
Phil Abbott: headteacher of Worksop Priory Primary Academy
Nadeem Shah; headteacher of St Edmund’s Primary School
It is likely that you will see us around the academy, especially at the beginning and end of the school day. Please say hello and don’t hesitate to ask questions or let us know if you have a problem. The children have quickly become very good at knowing our names but we don’t expect parents to do the same!
William Gladstone is at an exciting stage; the academy has had some problems but I am determined that it will now improve at a rapid rate. I know that we can rely on parents and carers to support us because we have the same priorities – we all want the very best for the children. If we work together, we can improve the academy that much faster – and that will only be a good thing for the children now and in the future.
The Multi Academy Trust is working hard to secure permanent leadership for the academy in September and we are making progress. As soon as I can confirm the arrangements, I will write to you again. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.
