Welcome back for the final half term of the academic year.
This term we will learning about electricity, sound and light for our science work and learning about inventors.
Our visit to Lincoln in May as part of our topic on the Romans was a great success and the weather was kind to us, despite the forecast. The museum was extremely interesting and there were lots of activities to engage with. It's well worth a visit. We also visited the castle and cathedral. The children behaved beautifully and were a credit to our school. Well done everyone!
Our PE sessions are held on Wednesday and Thursday for the year 4 children and on Wednesday for the year 3 children. The year 3’s have swimming lessons every Thursday afternoon. Whenever the weather permits PE will take place outside so please ensure that your child has a change of footwear as part of their kit. It is helpful if they bring their PE kit on a Monday and leave it in school for the whole week.
Your child has been provided with a reading book and diary. Please make every effort to encourage your child to read at home as this will build on skills learned in the classroom. In addition, your child has a Bub Club account with further reading material available online, alongside literacy games. This can now be accessed through tablets and smartphones!
If you have any queries please drop in to speak to myself or Mrs Preston.
